Job Description
Title: Bartender/Server
Rotolo's Craft & Crust is looking for friendly and attentive servers to join our team. Our goal is to provide an exceptional dining experience that encourages guests to return.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests, making them feel comfortable.
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
- Make genuine recommendations to enhance guest experience.
- Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services.
- Take and enter food and beverage orders using the POS system.
- Deliver orders promptly from kitchen and bar to guests.
- Perform side work at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain clean service areas.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
- Prepare final bills, process payments, and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Assist fellow servers and help with bussing/cleaning tables.
- Thank guests and invite them to return.
- Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Basic knowledge of dining room service procedures.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a POS system.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and safely lift trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- FOHM qualifications preferred: server experience, willingness to assist with scheduling, learn POS thoroughly, and help with liquor orders.
Experience:
- Serving: 1 year (preferred)
- Restaurant experience: 1 year (preferred)
