Title: Bartender - Goldbelt Tram

Overview: Responsible for the preparation and serving of all alcoholic beverages at the Timberline Bar & Grill, contributing to guest satisfaction and a premier customer service atmosphere.

Positions: Full-time and part-time positions available.

Location: This job is based in beautiful Juneau, Alaska. Applicants must live in Juneau or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

Pay and Benefits:

Starting wage: $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Seasonal Employee Layoff Bonus Plan
Discretionary performance bonuses may be granted at the company’s discretion

Responsibilities:

Efficiently operate alcohol sales and sell Nature Center products
Coordinate sales receipts reporting with Front of House Manager and staff
Stock and maintain inventory of alcohol and related products
Adhere to standard bar opening, operating, and closing procedures
Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally
Maintain a sanitary and orderly workspace and equipment
Follow liquor laws and Timberline Bar & Grill House Alcohol Policy
Promote merchandise and special offers to enhance customer experience
Process orders promptly using the POS system
Assist with opening and closing procedures and staff training when appropriate
Operate cash register and manage cash receipts
Assist with supply transport to and from retail locations

Qualifications: Necessary Skills & Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge of mixology practices and bar equipment operation
Familiarity with State of Alaska liquor laws
Experience with computerized cash register systems and cash procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to build cooperative relationships with staff and interact professionally with the public
Willingness to learn and share knowledge about local history, culture, and geography
Ability to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends, and handle stress under pressure
Commitment to maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe work environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Training for Alcohol Professional (TAP) card
At least one year of bartending experience
State of Alaska Food Workers Card
Ability to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

Three or more years of bartending experience
High school diploma or GED
Experience in tour-related or entertainment industry preferred
Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures, including CPR and First Aid certification

Candidates must hold a current Training for Alcohol Professional (TAP) card and a State of Alaska Food Workers Card. A minimum of one year of bartending experience is required, along with the ability to pass a background check.
