Title: Bartender

Summary of Position: Provide fresh, delicious, high-quality drinks in a fun atmosphere with speedy service. Make guests feel welcome as if they were at home and create a place they wish to spend their time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet each guest by introducing yourself, shaking their hand, upselling beverages, and making personalized suggestions
Take beverage orders from guests and servers
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to the restaurant’s standard recipes
Learn and recognize regular guests by name
Accurately record drink orders into the Micros system immediately after receipt
Process guest payments, including credit card charges and making change as needed
Wash and sterilize glassware
Prepare garnishes and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and beverage promotion
Clear and reset tables in the bar area
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about beverages
Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, floors, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage
Serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
Report equipment problems and maintenance issues to the restaurant manager
Assist with restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies
Fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation as directed by management
Lead the front-of-house team to ensure all guests have the best experience

Qualifications:

Minimum 21 years of age
At least 2 years of bartending experience
Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes
Basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a cash register
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours)
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds
