Job Title: Barback

Location: BlueWater Resort and Casino - Parker, AZ 85344 Salary Range: $12.00 Hourly

Summary: The Barback assists bartenders in delivering excellent hospitality to guests in a casino environment while complying with all laws and regulations related to safe and responsible beverage service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer guest questions about menu items and specials.
Maintain knowledge of beverages, food offerings, and special menu items.
Observe guest behavior for signs of intoxication and communicate professionally with guests and staff.
Ensure the quality and presentation of bar operations meet or exceed guest expectations.
Perform bar top maintenance, including bussing and sanitizing.
Stock and restock items such as ice, juices, glassware, towels, kegs, CO2 tanks, and soda bags.
Check and replenish supplies at all bar and server stations (e.g., soap, paper towels).
Monitor glass washers for proper chemical mixture and volume.
Empty and clean trash containers regularly.
Keep bar floors and surrounding areas clean and free of hazards.
Organize and clean coolers and storage areas to comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
Continually stock liquor room shelves from backup cases.
Maintain excellent attendance and be available for events and variable schedules.
Attend and complete all required training.
Comply with Food & Beverage department policies, Alcohol Beverage Service Policy, BWRC Guest Service Agreement, Arizona State Liquor Law Title 4, and Colorado River Indian Tribes Alcohol Ordinance.
Perform all duties in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies.
Perform other duties as assigned within the job scope.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, event-driven environment.
Ability to work variable schedules including evenings and weekends.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume bar, restaurant, or nightclub preferred.
C.R.I.T Community Environmental Health Food Handlers Card and any required licenses and certifications.
Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.

Uniform Standards:

Uniforms specific to each outlet.
Hair must be contained within approved health standards.
Hairstyles, body art, and piercings must comply with company policy and health code requirements.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds; push, pull, or drag up to 100 pounds.
Required to have close, distant, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Primarily indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor extreme temperatures.
May encounter irate or difficult guests or staff.
Noise levels range from light to moderate with flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.
