Title: Bartender - SkyHigh Pizza Bar

Job Summary: We are seeking professional, high-energy bartenders with excellent communication skills to prepare and serve classic cocktails and beverages at SkyHigh Pizza Bar, Thursday through Saturday evenings. Bartenders will greet customers, learn their preferences, recommend menu items, prepare beverages and food, upsell products, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and perform basic cleaning duties. This position runs from June 18 through September 6, 2026, with possible additional shifts during events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up bar and seating areas prior to opening
Check opening inventory and note shortages or changes
Greet customers courteously and provide world-class service
Pour and serve alcoholic beverages to guests of legal drinking age
Ring exact sales amounts into the register
Rotate and restock bar coolers from the walk-in cooler
Change taps on empty kegs and report issues to management
Maintain security of bar supplies and inventory
Keep daily operational records as required
Handle accurate cash turn-in and deposits
Notify manager or MOD when supplies or liquor are needed
Recognize intoxication levels and prevent overconsumption (TIPS trained)
Maintain a safe work environment
Inform customers about specials and suggest food and beverage upsells
Restock bar supplies including dry goods, glassware, juices, sodas, and garnishes
Ensure cleanliness of bar, restaurant areas, equipment, and surfaces during and after shifts
Maintain and clean liquor and draft beer control devices
Communicate orders to and coordinate with wait staff
Complete daily beer and liquor reports, noting shortages and overages
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies:

Previous bartending experience
Passion for the food service industry
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to think quickly and resolve guest concerns
Must be 21 years or older
ABC alcohol certification
California Food Handler Certification

Working Conditions: Employees may be required to perform tasks in challenging weather conditions, including high winds, heavy snowfall, low visibility, rain, and extreme temperatures.

Uniforms: A professional appearance is required during work hours. Uniforms and name tags will be provided; additional items must be approved by management and include Bear Valley logo hats. Uniform use is strictly for work hours.

The employee represents a model for safe skiing and is expected to be aware of all safety procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
