Title: Cocktail Server

Position Summary: The Cocktail Server will meet and greet guests promptly and deliver friendly, polite, and personalized guest service with a positive attitude and good posture. The role requires adherence to all policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service.
Ensure guests receive the correct drinks, checking IDs of patrons who appear under 30.
Handle all cash and credit transactions on the gaming floor and accurately enter orders into the POS system.
Monitor alcohol consumption, assess intoxication levels, offer non-alcoholic beverages if needed, and notify supervisors of intoxicated guests.
Make organized service rounds every 20 minutes, comprising two 10-minute loops through your station.
Communicate with management about any areas needing special attention to enhance guest service.
Professionally handle complaints and report issues to supervisors immediately.
Retrieve and return glassware to the bar.
Clean and restock the service area.
Comply with all liquor laws and casino policies.
Promote current casino events and specials, and provide guests with directions within the casino.
Be available to work any shift, including splits, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Maintain a courteous attitude and pleasant demeanor with guests and colleagues.
Attend all mandatory meetings.
Cross-train for other Food & Beverage department roles.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma, HSED, or GED required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Minimum one year of serving or bartending experience.
Ability to work well under pressure and take accurate beverage and food orders.
Willingness to train the right candidate.

Other Requirements:

Mandatory ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) training within first 30 days.
Food Handler’s Card required within first 30 days.
Must pass Title 31 background check within first 30 days.
Strong interpersonal skills showing respect, tact, and courtesy.
Professional appearance with proper uniform at all times.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to hear and speak effectively in noisy environments.
Flexible to work varying schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License and pass an extensive background check.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and balance trays up to 20 pounds with one hand.
Engage in activities involving considerable use of arms, legs, and whole-body movement.
Frequent bending, stooping, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
