Summary: Prepare beverages and provide beverage service in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Assist cocktail servers by preparing drinks and act as a cashier for the beverage outlet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort positively.
- Greet guests courteously.
- Memorize and recite all call and premium drink brands as requested.
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control.
- Input orders at the point of sale and create checks for guests and cocktail servers to maintain accountability.
- Replenish beverages as requested and check back with guests regarding satisfaction.
- Present checks promptly, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Handle payments and make change.
- Verify and record charges and ensure proper execution of vouchers.
- Maintain daily bar setup and cleanliness.
- Keep guest areas clean by removing empty bottles and glasses and cleaning ashtrays.
- Uphold high standards of sanitation and hygiene at the bar.
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance within casino resort guidelines.
- Balance the house bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Retrieve and return funds from the employee bank to ensure accountability.
- Inspect stations before, during, and after shifts for proper setup and cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Bartending school certificate or at least 3 months of bartending experience.
- Customer service skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to compute rates and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense and carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License.
- TIPS Alcohol Awareness Certificate.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell. Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Requires good close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Regular exposure to risk of electrical shock and secondhand tobacco smoke. Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration. Noise level is usually loud.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of all federal, state, and corporate regulations regarding alcohol service to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Ability to stay alert and calm during busy periods.
