Title: Barback

Job Location: Citrus Heights, CA 95621 Salary Range: $18.00 hourly

Primary Function To support Food and Beverage staff in alignment with the company’s mission and core values.

Essential Responsibilities

Follow safe California Food Handlers guidelines.
Restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, and bar supplies throughout shifts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, storage rooms, coolers, and service stations.
Remove empty bottles, trash, glassware, and recycling promptly and safely.
Wash and polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment in accordance with chemical safety data sheets.
Refill ice bins and transport kegs, cases, and inventory as needed.
Assist bartenders with preparation of garnishes, syrups, juices, and other bar ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
Support opening, closing, and side-work procedures.
Provide efficient support in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
Establish and maintain good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage.
Report unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to management.
Report to management or security any individuals underage, intoxicated, or exhibiting illegal or threatening behavior.
Attend annual BSA/AML training as scheduled.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic math skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.

Conditions of Employment

Must successfully pass a thorough background check to obtain a Gaming License from the City of Chula Vista.
Must maintain an active Gaming License according to city requirements.
Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card.
Must obtain and maintain a current Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certification.

Physical Demands

Constantly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hand/finger movements.
Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to talk and hear.
