Job Description
Title: Bartender
Job Location: Laguna Beach, CA 92651 Position Type: Seasonal Salary Range: $15.50 - $17.90 Hourly, plus tips
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the schedule set by the Saloon Manager and perform assigned duties.
- Ensure beers on tap are served at the right temperature and quality, free from off-smells or flavors.
- Engage with each patron, providing attentive and welcoming service to meet their needs efficiently.
- Politely and respectfully answer customer questions about beer and wine.
- Comply with alcoholic beverage commission regulations, including verifying IDs and preventing overconsumption.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar, storage, and work areas.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for saloon operations.
- Foster a pleasant saloon environment.
- Provide timely feedback to the Saloon Manager to optimize operations.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for the Sawdust Festival.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Available to work day, night, and weekend shifts.
- Prior bartending or service experience is desirable.
- Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certificate or ability to obtain one before first shift.
- Comfortable using a tablet-based POS system and handling cash sales.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Positive attitude and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Ability to lift 35-50 lbs and move full kegs with a dolly.
- Willingness to learn mechanical aspects of saloon equipment.
- Grace under pressure.
Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Lifting boxes up to 50 lbs and moving full kegs with assistance.
