Job Description
Title: Cocktail Server
Overview: As a Cocktail Server, you will use your knowledge of wines, beers, and cocktails to serve a variety of drinks to guests while providing excellent service in every interaction. Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed does not include any potential tip earnings.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests, communicate drink specials, answer questions about available beverages, and take beverage orders.
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Enter drink orders into the point-of-sale system; pick up orders and deliver to guests.
- Observe and follow up with guests, providing additional service as needed.
- Prepare and deliver guest checks; accept and process payments or direct guests to the cashier.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names.
- Basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
- Ability to lift, balance, and carry trays weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Sufficient visual acuity and hearing to take orders and prepare bills.
