Title: Banquet Bartender - On Call

Job Summary: A Banquet Bartender contributes to the success of the Events and Catering Department by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during banquet and catering functions. This role includes setting up the banquet bar with liquor, mixes, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies; inventorying unused liquor and beverages; and assisting with banquet service and breakdown as needed. Only bartenders with full bar experience will be considered.

Pay Range: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour plus tips

Job Responsibilities:

Work as part of a team to provide hospitality and service that exceed guest expectations.
Maintain professionalism, hospitality, and confidence when interacting with guests.
Communicate effectively with the Banquet Lead Captain and Events Manager to ensure successful functions and resolve guest complaints.
Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude toward guests, coworkers, and management.
Follow procedures to secure and properly store banquet inventory and equipment, replenish supplies, and minimize breakage and waste.
Efficiently serve wine, beer (bottled or draft), and non-alcoholic beverages with appropriate garnishes.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, preparation methods, and beverage contents.
Mix drinks and cocktails according to company standards.
Verify guests’ age by checking identification before serving alcoholic beverages.
Handle cash and assigned house bank following all cash handling procedures.
Collect payments and balance receipts.
Ensure the assigned bar area is fully stocked and equipped for service.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Prior experience in bartending and serving.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Experience using POS systems.
Knowledge of health and sanitation guidelines.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse groups and communicate with all levels of management.
Passion for engaging and creating personal connections with community members.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid identification.
RBS Server Certification (required within 30 days of hire).
California Food Handlers Certification (required within 30 days of hire).
High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Training Required within 30 Days:

Sexual Harassment Training.

Language/Communication:

Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
