Position Summary: The Bartender works in a high-volume, upscale establishment, specializing in crafting and serving high-quality cocktails and beverages. Bartenders provide exceptional service while demonstrating expertise in mixology and beverage knowledge. The role includes maintaining organization, cleanliness, and completing prep and stocking tasks.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and creative cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks.
Engage with guests to provide recommendations, answer questions, and make personalized drink suggestions.
Maintain thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes, ingredients, and presentation techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Keep the bar area organized and clean, ensuring glasses, utensils, and tools are sanitized.
Restock bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure availability.
Operate and maintain bar equipment such as blenders, shakers, ice machines, and cash registers.
Take and process drink orders accurately using a POS system.
Handle cash transactions and process payments, providing guests with accurate bills.
Use upselling techniques to promote premium beverages and specials.
Assist in inventory management including monitoring stock levels and conducting stock counts.
Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to coordinate drink orders with food service.
Adhere to all laws and regulations regarding alcohol service, including ID verification.
Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Bartender in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
In-depth knowledge of mixology, cocktail recipes, and beverage types including wine, spirits, beer, and liqueurs.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff.
Knowledge of wine pairing is a plus.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and legal compliance.
RBS or similar certification required for responsible alcohol service.
