Title: Pool Bartender - Seasonal ($22.50/hour)

Job Overview: To serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Prepare drinks for other servers and act as cashier for the pool area.

Reports to: Bar Manager/Supervisor

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections.
Manage stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously, take and record drink orders, mix and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control.
Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service.
Input orders into the point of sale system, create checks for guests (including those served by other servers) to maintain accurate beverage accountability.
Handle cash transactions, make change, verify charges, record transactions, and ensure proper execution of vouchers to balance money.
Secure all beverage, food, and equipment items after hours; deposit cash and secure the bank.
Adhere to attendance policies and be regularly available for work.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Effective communication skills in English.
Self-motivated with a professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to work well with guests and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, including alcoholic beverages.
Mathematical skills for cash handling, making change, totaling checks, counting bank, and understanding portion sizes.
Manual dexterity to use knives, handle glassware, bottles, ice, and stock items.
Ability to remember and promote menu items.
Proficient in using point of sale systems for order processing and check-out.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers.

Performance Standards:

Customer Satisfaction: Maintain professional and courteous interactions with guests at all times; serve as a guest relations ambassador.
Work Habits: Adhere to hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance; be adaptable and willing to learn.
Safety & Security: Follow hotel security policies, including key control, safe lifting, chemical use, and hazard reporting.
