Title: Bartender - PJ's

Job Location: PJ's - Truckee, CA 96161 Salary Range: $17.00 Hourly Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service

Job Summary: The bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to club members and guests in a professional and friendly manner. This includes preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining inventory and stock levels, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area.

Operations:

Winter operations at Alpine Club & Schaffer's Camp – Northstar, Pool Deck Social Club – TMC Pavilion
Summer operations at PJs - Gray's Crossing, Pool Deck Social Club – TMC Pavilion, Old Greenwood & Gray’s Crossing Golf Outlets

Responsibilities:

Arrive in uniform and ready to work by scheduled time
Greet members and guests warmly to maintain a friendly service atmosphere
Provide excellent customer service and address concerns promptly and professionally
Take food and beverage orders and serve using proper etiquette
Follow instructions from supervisor regarding daily events, cleaning assignments, and section maps
Prepare and serve beverages accurately following approved recipes and guest requests
Know regular and special menu items, including pricing and ingredients
Perform all side work and setup duties for each meal period
Clean and sanitize bar, dining area, wait stations, storage areas, equipment, and utensils
Set up and restock the bar at the beginning and end of each shift
Collect glassware sent to the kitchen for cleaning
Monitor and adhere to all alcohol service guidelines and laws
Assist with setup and cleanup of special events and functions
Follow all club policies, safety, and security protocols
Work in dining room and/or bar areas as needed
Report any complaints or issues to service manager or director
Balance sales report and cash register at the beginning and end of shifts
Prepare daily sales envelope and submit to manager
Maintain cleanliness, stocking, and storage of mobile bar and coffee station (if applicable)
May be required to close and secure the facility at the end of the day

Additional Duties: Employees may be asked to perform other related tasks as needed to support club operations.

Reporting: Reports to Food & Beverage Director and Restaurant Managers

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years bartending experience in a similar environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, drink recipes, and mixing techniques
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to read, speak, and communicate in English proficiently

Certifications:

State-accredited Alcohol Training through RBS
SERVsafe Certification
Harassment Prevention Training
Workplace Violence Prevention
Heat Illness Prevention

Must complete all required onboarding, trainings, and policy acknowledgments within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead
