Title: Bar Manager - Soho House West Hollywood

The Bar Manager at Soho House is responsible for overseeing the entire beverage program and bar team to ensure optimal staff and guest experience while meeting budget goals. This role involves promoting and maintaining high bar standards, hiring and training staff, managing inventory, planning promotional events, and ensuring quality and safety compliance. The Bar Manager will also maintain licenses, update vendor contracts, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize member and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Lead continuous improvement of the beverage program, including products, processes, and staff development
Maintain and improve beverage cost KPIs to ensure financial performance and profitability
Ensure quality control and consistency in menu creation and compliance
Maintain a visible presence during shifts, engaging with members, guests, and staff
Support bar and floor staff in supervision, POS operations, scheduling, and management tasks
Ensure staff are trained on new and existing beverage options
Oversee safe, productive, and positive work environment and efficient bar operations
Organize regular team meetings, trainings, and educational opportunities
Collaborate with US Support team and vendors to maximize profits
Manage inventory, purchasing, and staff scheduling
Comply with all legal requirements including wage, hour, health, and safety regulations
Handle labor management, payroll, complaints, disciplinary procedures, and staff evaluations
Monitor Mystery Shopper reports and drive staff development
Participate actively in management team decision-making and meetings
Adjust daily and shift schedules as needed to meet business and budget requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience managing a high-volume food and beverage operation
Proven leadership of efficient, professional, high-quality, service-oriented teams
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Proficient in MICROS (or similar POS), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience managing beverage programs including recipes, menus, cost of sales, scheduling, inventory, and guest satisfaction
Experience managing P&Ls and staff coaching and development
Four-year degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours
Ability to move quickly throughout the club
Ability to lift, carry or pull up to 40 pounds
Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing

Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000 USD (California range, may vary by location and experience)
