Job Description
Title: BARTENDER
Job Location: New Castle, DE 19720
We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking and dining experience. The ideal candidate will be able to create both classic and innovative drinks that exceed customers’ expectations. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus tips.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and dining room
- Keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean at all times
- Interact with customers, take drink and food orders
- Have a strong knowledge of all menu items and prices
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Upsell guests on food or drink items when appropriate
- Check customers’ identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Maintain a guest-focused environment and provide excellent service
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Follow brand standards for service
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service standards, including cutting off intoxicated guests as necessary
- Process payments and perform shift-end cash out procedures
- Perform general cleaning duties during shifts and at closing
- Maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance and wear company-approved uniform at all times
Requirements:
- Proven bartending experience
- Excellent knowledge and experience in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Experience operating a POS system, handling cash, and processing credit card transactions
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in hot and cold water
- Ability to read, write, and hear well in a noisy environment
