Overview: Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale is an iconic luxury waterfront destination featuring 325 guest rooms, suites, and villas, 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 restaurants and lounges, a spa, pools, and a retail promenade. We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Barback for our new signature restaurant, Calusso. This high-volume venue offers luxury products and craft cocktails in a dynamic atmosphere with live entertainment. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bar staff and maintaining smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

Restock bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and essentials.
Prepare the bar area before service by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness.
Assist bartenders during peak hours by fetching ingredients, ice, and glassware.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift.
Interact professionally and courteously with guests, assisting with inquiries and anticipating needs.
Follow all safety, sanitation standards, and legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
Adhere to departmental policies and communicate effectively with team members.
Maintain knowledge of liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic options, glassware, and garnishes.
Be responsible for the cleanliness of the workspace and general property.
Familiarize yourself with hotel services and local attractions to assist guests accurately.

Qualifications:

Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
High School Diploma or GED.
Current Food Handlers card required.
TIPS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Previous experience in bar or hospitality settings preferred but not required.
Passionate about learning, adaptable, and customer service oriented.
