Job Description

Join the Discovery family at Atlantic Fields, located outside of Hobe Sound, FL, as a Bartender in the Food and Beverage Service Department.

The Bartender is responsible for timely preparation and service of drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing exceptional hospitality and extensive knowledge of food and beverage pairings to enhance member dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with culinary and F&B leaders to uphold exemplary culinary standards and promote continuous improvement.
Deliver exceptional service and communication with members, guests, and team members.
Greet guests and members promptly and politely, anticipate needs, and demonstrate urgency in responding to requests.
Prepare craft cocktails following recipes, including house-made ingredients and pour ratios.
Offer detailed knowledge of beverages, ingredients, and wine to make recommendations based on preferences and food pairings.
Understand menu items and specials; be attentive to food allergies and special requests.
Accurately enter transactions into the POS system, issue checks, and close sales according to company policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and storage areas, including daily stocking and opening/closing procedures.
Monitor the expiration of perishable items and adhere to food safety standards.
Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of bartending experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-end establishment.
Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; State Food Safety Certificate or ability to obtain one.
Strong knowledge of wines and beverages.
Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and service.

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours as needed.
Positive attitude, professionalism, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during busy periods.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); additional languages are a plus.
Physical ability to work indoors and outdoors, stand and walk for more than eight hours, and lift items over 50 pounds.
Adaptability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
