Title: Bartender - Key West International Airport

Compensation: $9.98 + TIPS Location: Key West International Airport

Role and Responsibilities: As a Bartender, you will ensure guests are greeted warmly and receive their drinks and food promptly with friendly, efficient service. You will mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes and company policies, merchandise drinks, and attend to guests to make them feel welcome at all times.

Essential Functions:

Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to company recipes.
Serve wine, liquor, draft or bottled beer, and food to bar guests.
Prepare drinks for servers’ guests.
Collect payment for drinks and food following company accounting procedures.
Observe guests and respond to their needs.
Guide guests in selecting food and beverage items.
Follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and handle intoxicated guests appropriately.
Verify correct pricing and enter all orders into the POS system before serving.
Maintain proficient knowledge of liquor quality and beverage preparation; stay updated on new beverage recipes.
Ensure a clean, well-stocked bar and secure all monies at the end of each shift.
Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
Keep supervisors informed of issues and take corrective action or suggest alternatives.
Display a positive image of Chili’s Grill & Bar and foster a cooperative working environment.

Nonessential Functions:

Assist other team members as needed.

Qualification Standards:

Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance according to dress code.
Operate POS system, handle cash, and conduct credit card transactions accurately.
Balance the cash register and account for all monies at shift end.
Calmly respond to angry or intoxicated guests and notify management when necessary.
Stand for the entire shift.
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir, and wipe.
Lift up to 40 lbs several times per shift.
Clearly communicate with guests and read the menu.
Frequently immerse hands in water.
Effectively verify guest identification in compliance with state and local laws.

This position requires proficiency in alcohol awareness and the ability to verify guest ages. The bartender is responsible for quick and accurate order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area at all times.
