JOB OVERVIEW: Greet and serve guests graciously and professionally, following the hotel’s standards of quality, presentation, and sanitation. Provide anticipatory service at all times. Complete opening and closing procedures and assigned side work. Practice social distancing, observe mask mandates, and maintain proper hygiene in accordance with CDC, Palm Beach County, and Florida State guidelines.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Welcome and greet every guest.
Provide friendly, engaging, and anticipatory guest service.
Attend promptly to guests in the bar area.
Describe menu items and daily specials; assist guests informatively.
Assess guests' preferences and make recommendations.
Verify legal drinking age by checking identification.
Receive, record, and fulfill beverage orders timely using the POS system.
Prepare, mix, and serve beverages according to hotel recipes and quality standards.
Customize orders as requested.
Monitor guests’ alcohol intake to ensure appropriate levels.
Submit food orders to the kitchen with accurate instructions.
Serve meals according to service standards.
Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and suggest additions.
Maintain product and service quality at all times.
Verify and present accurate checks promptly.
Operate POS and process payments accurately.
Maintain knowledge of all food & beverage items, allergens, and preparation methods.
Clean and sanitize assigned areas before and after shifts.
Adhere to proper alcohol handling and food safety policies.
Maintain a well-stocked bar with necessary supplies.
Assist with deliveries and inventory management.
Assist support staff with glassware polishing, napkin folding, and menu cleaning.
Handle guest complaints professionally and follow up promptly.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene.
Demonstrate ability to multitask, manage time, and work under pressure.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Maintain knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with guests and coworkers.
Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a luxury hotel, club, or restaurant.
Excellent food, beverage, and wine knowledge.
Responsible Alcohol Service certificate.
Proficient in POS systems.
Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Previous luxury guest service or Forbes training is a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Ability to manage POS data entry accurately.
Promote positive guest relations.
Ability to think clearly, make decisions quickly, and maintain focus.
Ability to remember guests’ names and preferences.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Ability to maintain hotel standards and policies.
