Doubletree By Hilton Tallahassee is seeking a Bartender to provide customized beverage service to hotel restaurant and bar customers in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. The Bartender is responsible for ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience while relaxing at the bar. Team members should be passionate about guest service, able to communicate effectively, and multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide clear, accurate descriptions of food and beverage options.
Maintain proper setup and organization of the bar area.
Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, produce, and other perishables.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard recipes, maintaining portion control.
Attend monthly departmental meetings.
Operate POS system to input orders and handle payments accurately.
Manage cash transactions, verify charges, record payments, and balance cash.
Secure bar stock, lock up beverages and equipment, and manage cash deposits at shift end.
Clean and sanitize the bar area regularly.
Complete daily inventory prep sheets and other allowable side work.
Demonstrate knowledge of current food and beverage menus, promoting orders effectively.
Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies, including product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleanliness.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and surrounding areas.
Work collaboratively with service and kitchen teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience in hospitality, service, or bartending preferred.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
Provide friendly service with a smile at all times.
Flexible availability including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Punctuality and adherence to clock-in/out procedures.
Provide sufficient notice when unable to attend scheduled shifts.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to walk distances within work areas.
Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Lift and carry supplies as needed.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
