Job Description
Bartender
Be a star at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts located in downtown Tampa. This position offers flexible hours with event-based schedules including evenings and weekends. Part-time staff benefits include employee discounts and a 403(b) retirement plan.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Use the POS system to ring orders and accurately maintain inventory.
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for patrons.
- Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage.
- Assist with restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Ability to reach, communicate effectively in person and by phone.
- Occasionally required to move up to 50 lbs, use ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Special Conditions:
- This job requires on-site work as a regular routine.
