Bartender
Do you want to bartend at Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai, a restaurant with the best view on the island? Bartenders, or Mixologists, mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Their duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving drinks, accepting payment, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, and balancing cash receipts to record sales.

Bartender Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a pleasant drinking experience to customers
- Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area
- Attend to the detail and presentation of each order
- Prepare and maintain ingredients by following recipes
- Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of beverage items
- Coordinate daily supply inventory and submit orders to supervisor
- Assist with receipt of deliveries
- Contribute to daily, holiday, and themed drink menus in collaboration with supervisor
- Ensure smooth operation of bar services during the supervisor's absence
- Complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules, including dishwashing
- Assist with orienting new employees
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints and suggestions
- Instruct personnel on new equipment and cleaning methods
- Participate in programs to improve service quality and employee productivity
This is a tipped position with hourly pay at minimum wage.
