Title: Restaurant Bar Manager

Location: Maui Brewing Co. Kā‘anapali Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 (DOE) *Relocation assistance available for current Hawaiʻi residents (inter-island only)

As a Bar Manager, you will lead operational excellence and team performance in a fast-paced environment, ensuring elevated guest experiences and team success.

Key Responsibilities:

Manager-Specific:

Lead by example in training, coaching, and developing hourly team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and hospitality excellence.
Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service.
Uphold cleanliness, organization, and safety standards across all guest-facing areas.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure positive experiences.
Collaborate closely with kitchen leadership to maintain communication, service flow, and consistent product quality.
Monitor labor, productivity, and service standards to meet operational and financial goals.

Bar-Specific:

Oversee all bar operations including service execution, beverage quality, and guest engagement.
Maintain deep knowledge of Maui Brewing Co. products, craft beer, spirits, cocktails, and beverage trends to lead training and enhance guest experience.
Manage and optimize bar inventory including ordering and tracking to minimize waste and control costs.
Ensure proper execution of recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
Monitor beverage costs and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Lead bar team scheduling, staffing, and performance management.
Train and mentor bartenders and bar staff on service standards, upselling, and product knowledge.
Enforce alcohol compliance standards, including ID checks and responsible service.
Collaborate on seasonal drink menus, promotions, and new product rollouts.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all bar areas and equipment.
Drive bar revenue through strategic initiatives and elevated service.

Requirements:

Hands-on leadership experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of alcohol compliance standards.
TB clearance required upon hire to work in Hawaiʻi.
