Title: Bartender

Job Description: As a Bartender in the Market Grille department, you will provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all guests. You will monitor bar inventory, prepare and serve drinks, process payments, and ensure compliance with age verification requirements for alcohol sales. Maintaining cleanliness and adherence to company policies is essential.

Responsibilities:

Greet and serve customers with a positive attitude, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Prepare and mix beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about beverages.
Accept guest payments, process credit card charges, and provide change as needed.
Verify customer age for alcohol purchases by checking identification.
Maintain cleanliness of bar, equipment, utensils, and work areas.
Stock bar with supplies such as beer, wine, liquor, ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
Respond promptly and courteously to customer needs and inquiries.
Adhere to company guidelines regarding personal hygiene, dress code, and punctuality.
Assist in other store areas and perform special projects when necessary.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year of related work experience.
Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash accurately.
Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and perform various physical activities (standing, walking, reaching, etc.).
Basic arithmetic skills for calculating transactions.
Ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced food service environment with direct interaction with the public.
Potential exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment hazards.

Equipment Used:

POS terminals, cocktail shakers, blenders, soda dispensers, draft beer equipment, ice machines, and related bar tools.

Additional Information:

Night and weekend shifts are required.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.
