Job Description
Title: Banquet Bartender
Description: Provide quality service to guests during their dining experience by executing proper service standards, creating well-prepared cocktails, and possessing strong knowledge of wine and food.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and timely
- Set up hors d’oeuvre/buffet tables and banquet bars according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) specifications within a set timeline
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize event setup and service
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks consistently to Shore Lodge specifications
- Provide beverage and food service for dining sections, including serving multiple courses, watering tables, bussing, clearing after events, wine service, and coffee service
- Take drink orders, accurately enter orders into the POS system, and deliver orders
- Possess functional wine knowledge and provide proper service
- Anticipate guest needs and provide appropriate service
- Use basic math skills to calculate tabs and make change
- Assist other team members as needed
- Clean and stock service areas
- Know Shore Lodge’s history and the surrounding area to assist out-of-town guests
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of wine, liquors, cocktails, and mixers including preparation and presentation
- Excellent customer service and cash handling skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain high organization in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to set up a mobile bar efficiently
- Functional knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to carry trays and lift supplies or equipment up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Physical ability to perform pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching
- Good visual, hearing acuity, agility, and dexterity
- Positive attitude with maturity and leadership qualities
