Job Description
Wyndemere, a senior living community located just outside downtown Wheaton, IL, is seeking a hospitality-focused Bartender to join our Independent Living facility team.
As a Bartender at Wyndemere, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with senior residents and be part of a supportive and extraordinary community.
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week. Shifts are 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Open availability is preferred.
Compensation: $21.63 per hour, plus benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental, Employee Assistance Program, and 23 days per year of Paid Time Off.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages including cocktails, wine, and beer to residents and guests following all state and local alcohol service regulations.
- Serve food to residents and guests.
- Maintain weekly inventory of beverages, bar items, and supplies; submit needs to the Food and Beverage Director.
- Prepare garnishes for bar use.
- Keep the lounge, wine room, and workstation neat and orderly at all times.
- Communicate resident and guest concerns to management.
- Assist in maintaining departmental sanitation standards and goals.
- Follow all relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as restocking, organizing bar items, and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers.
- Experience bartending in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining experience is strongly preferred.
- Physical ability to stand and walk up to 90% of the day and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
