Title: Bartender

Job Objective: Create an exceptional dining experience for guests by demonstrating remarkable personal and professional skills in both casual and fine dining environments.

Responsibilities:

Provide extraordinary hospitality and service to guests.
Set up and stock the bar at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensure glassware is clean and polished before and after shifts.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized bar compliant with health codes.
Handle cash drops and maintain proper bank at end of shift.
Attend pre-shift meetings in uniform, ready for service.
Support staff in delivering drinks and wine.
Assist management with deliveries and storage maintenance.
Label and date all open bar items.
Help keep the restaurant clean and organized during slow periods.
Assist with monthly inventory.
Wear a clean, complete, wrinkle-free uniform and name tag.
Provide necessary bar tools and manage signature cocktail recipes.
Follow all cashier and banking procedures.
Greet guests warmly and inform them about daily specials and recommendations.
Up-sell brand name liquors, food, and wine.
Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system.
Ensure food and beverage orders are accurate and high quality.
Collect payments, provide correct change, and obtain signatures as needed.
Submit all payment documentation and perform nightly checkout with supervisors.
Exhibit thorough job and product knowledge related to food, wine, service, and resort information.
Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism in all guest and coworker interactions.
Protect restaurant assets such as glassware, equipment, and fixtures.
Complete assigned cleaning and side work duties, including closing responsibilities.

Follow all measures to prevent virus and bacteria spread.
Report all guest and employee altercations to management.
Immediately report any illegal substances to management.
Zero tolerance for harassment.
Comply with the company handbook including time and attendance.
No smoking or vaping near guests.

Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years old.
At least 2 years of food and beverage experience, preferably as a bartender.
High school diploma preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personality.
Team player.
Current state health card permit.
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs; able to move up to 150 lbs with wheeled assistance.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
Competency demonstrated as per training requirements.
Positive, service-minded attitude with the ability to handle stress and criticism.
Computer literate and proactive.
Food Service Sanitation certification required or ability to obtain.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Additional Information: Successful applicants must pass a pre-employment background check and complete the mandated I-9 documentation. The work season runs from December to the end of July, and employees must be available for the entire season.
