Title: Bartender

Location: Memphis, TN

Responsibilities:

Contribute to 100% customer satisfaction through teamwork and professional service.
Collaborate with Barbacks and wait staff to ensure consistent customer focus.
Greet guests, take beverage orders, and inquire about food allergies when applicable.
Serve drinks and food promptly and accurately.
Follow all state and local guidelines for responsible alcohol service, including verifying guest age.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively; use up-selling techniques.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, beverage products, menus, and promotions.
Resolve guest challenges and complaints proactively, involving supervisors when necessary.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-stocked workstation, including ice wells, garnishes, beer coolers, and bar supplies.
Monitor cleanliness and safety of the bar area, performing regular cleaning tasks.
Prepare and process sales transactions efficiently using the POS system, handling cash and credit card payments accurately.
Maintain register balances and prepare cash counts for supervisor review.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
TABC certification.
Must be 21 years or older.
Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits with familiarity with standard drink recipes.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong team orientation and ability to work with multiple departments.
Accurate cash handling skills and familiarity with calculators and counting devices.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Proficient with POS and digital registers.
Excellent communication and persuasive sales skills.
Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, work in varying temperature environments, and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to follow safety and sanitary practices consistently.
