Title: Bartender (Interim)

Join the Kentucky Department of Parks, known as the Nation's Finest! We are seeking vibrant and enthusiastic Bartenders who enjoy connecting with people and are passionate about creating scratch-made, unique cocktails and fresh beverages for our guests.

Position Overview: As a seasonal (interim) Bartender, you will be responsible for providing pleasant and memorable experiences for all guests during the Parks' peak season from March through December. You will prepare and serve adult beverages and food, maintain lounge cleanliness, and ensure compliance with all safety, food, and health regulations.

Responsibilities:

Set up lounge area, mix and serve drinks and food, and clean the lounge area
Prepare guest checks and collect payments
Verify food appearance, temperature, and portions
Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists
Perform prep work including cleaning, stocking, preparing garnishes, glassware, and mixers
Maintain dining and lounge areas in compliance with safety and health standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience in food service operations
Obtain S.T.A.R. (Server Training in Alcohol Regulations) certification from the Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within 90 days of employment
Complete Department of Parks alcohol training before serving alcohol
Maintain any required licensure(s) or certification(s) during employment

Working Conditions: This position may require overtime, alternate work schedules, lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and frequent communication in person or via technology.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly pay ranging from $13.76 to $20.64, plus tips
