Title: Bartender - Tavi Restaurant (PART-TIME)

Bartenders are responsible for fulfilling all beverage service orders and serving as a Shift Supervisor. Beverage service includes sodas, espresso beverages, pouring beer and wine, and crafting cocktails. Bartenders also attend to guests sitting at the bar or waiting for a table.

As Shift Supervisors, bartenders oversee opening and closing the restaurant, handling cash drawers, bank deposits, paperwork, and Front of House (FOH) checkouts.

Essential Functions:

Welcome guests within one minute of arrival.
Prepare all cocktails according to restaurant specifications efficiently and consistently.
Provide the same high standard of service to bar guests as in the dining room.
Memorize multiple drink recipes to ensure quick service.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of standard cocktail recipes.
Set up and break down the bar, including cleaning surfaces, sweeping floors, washing bar mats, and maintaining liquor bottles.
Stay updated on food and beverage menus and changes.
Accurately enter orders into the POS system.
Follow company cash handling procedures.
Track all open tickets and credit card receipts.
Prioritize orders to complete tasks timely.
Alert management of any out-of-stock bar items.
Restock bar supplies at the start and end of shifts.
Manage all cash transactions, including counting cash drawers at shift start and end.
Keep the bar cooler clean and organized.
Maintain overall bar cleanliness during shifts.
Verify identification of patrons to enforce legal drinking age.
Maintain knowledge of food pairings.
Prepare garnishes and set up bar before opening.
Wash and sterilize bar glassware.
Communicate effectively with team members and demonstrate teamwork.
Exhibit professional presence including timely arrival, proper uniform, and readiness to work.
Adhere to service standards, integrity, and honesty.
Perform side work and closing duties independently.
Work efficiently and complete tasks within assigned time frames.
Attend all employee meetings and participate meaningfully.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role preferred.
ATC Responsible Vendor’s License required.
Basic math and computer/tablet skills.
Ability to remain professional in stressful environments.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team while maintaining professionalism.
Excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail.
Availability to work various shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Positive, engaging personality with professional appearance.
Ability to uphold company appearance and dress standards.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, task, and time management skills.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, reach overhead, kneel, crawl, squat, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Manual dexterity.
Knowledge of customer service principles and company policies.
Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised, and adapt to changes.
Display integrity, honesty, and maintain positive attitude toward management, coworkers, and guests.
Comply with all company policies.
