Job Description: The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation during operating hours. They ensure drink quality and standardization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests, managers, and colleagues at all times.
Maintain a welcoming and engaging demeanor throughout the guest experience.
Personalize guest interactions by addressing guests according to their preferences.
Possess thorough knowledge of menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies.
Serve all food and beverage requirements efficiently and courteously.
Prepare beverages with appropriate portions; ensure cocktails are well-balanced.
Present wine labels to guests when serving by the glass tableside.
Collaborate with bartenders and management on cocktail creation and implementation.
Operate the Point of Sale (P.O.S.) system and perform cashiering duties.
Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned.
Keep tables and side stations stocked, tidy, and clean.
Upsell food, beverage, and promotional items consistently.
Know the location and use of fire extinguishers.
Deliver complete orders, ensure accurate bills, and collect payments.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction, ending each interaction warmly.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
Proficient knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks (bench test required).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work flexible and long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Capable of occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
Able to stand for entire shifts.

Strong communication skills with guests and staff, demonstrating attentiveness and courtesy.
Effective listening and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental duties.
Maintain professional appearance and comply with Raffles Hotel standards.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Demonstrate initiative and maintain confidentiality.
Cross-train in other hotel areas as needed.

Hourly Wage: Introductory rate of $25.31, increasing to $28.12 after a 90-day probation period.
