Title: Bartender - Pink Taco, Boston

As a bartender at Pink Taco, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience by bringing the spirit of Pink Taco and our menu to life. Purpose: The bartender is responsible for welcoming guests, accurately taking all food and beverage orders, and ensuring timely delivery to guests’ satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide guests with accurate information about menu items, pricing, and allergens
Recognize and cultivate relationships with regular guests to encourage repeat business
Enter orders promptly and accurately into the POS system
Serve food and drinks according to specifications and in a timely manner
Replenish stock as needed during shifts
Move furniture as directed by management
Check guest ID to verify legal drinking age (21+)
Assist food servers promptly
Follow precise drink recipes
Organize and prioritize service efficiently
Address guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary
Comply with all safety, health, and liquor laws
Maintain sanitation and safety standards
Process guest checks and payments via cash, credit, comps, and other forms of tender
Accurately account for all bar monies and complete banking procedures
Keep the bar area clean and orderly throughout the shift
Monitor guests for intoxication and refuse service courteously when appropriate
Report equipment failures or safety hazards immediately
Assist with opening, running, closing, nightly, and weekly duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 21 years of age
High school diploma preferred
Eligibility to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license
Possession of required state work permits (if applicable)
Minimum two years of related bartender experience
Experience with POS systems
Strong knowledge of beer and spirits
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques
Excellent guest relations skills
Understanding of sanitation and safety procedures
Proficient in safe alcohol service
Experience in full-service restaurant operations
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Hourly wage: $6.75 plus tips

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk and stand for long periods
Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs
Use hands to handle tools and controls
Ability to perform repetitive motions
Clear verbal communication and comprehension
Ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
