Job Location: Carroll Lutheran Village Inc - Westminster, MD 21158 Salary Range: $17.50 per hour
Join our team at Carroll Lutheran Village! We are seeking a dedicated PRN Bartender to support our warm, mission-driven community. This flexible, as-needed position offers shifts including 4:00pm–8:00pm on select days, with opportunities for additional coverage. Availability on weekdays and weekends is required.

- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and proper presentation
- Arrange bar or cart supplies and glassware to create appealing displays
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar or cart area at all times
- Accurately record sales, collect payments, and operate the cash register according to facility procedures
- Prepare and/or sell food items as needed
- Conduct inventory checks, assess stock levels, and submit orders promptly to ensure adequate supplies
- Follow all departmental procedures and facility policies
- Foster effective working relationships with team members and other departments
- Promote a welcoming, positive, and calm atmosphere
- Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and required training programs
- Complete Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) training and pass the competency test as required by Carroll County
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of bartending experience or formal training preferred and verifiable
- Must comply with all Maryland state and local laws regarding alcohol sale and service
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a respectful and compassionate approach
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations
- Physically able to move throughout the workday and lift up to 25 pounds using safe handling practices
- May assist with resident evacuation during emergencies
- Complies with organizational health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies or exemptions
