Title: Banquet Bartender

The Banquet Bartender, under the direction of the Banquet Captain, is responsible for welcoming and serving guests food and drinks promptly and courteously while maintaining clean and stocked work areas. This role requires providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, and professional customer service, always striving to exceed guest expectations.

Essential Functions:

Mixes and serves guests' drinks.
Verifies customer identification to ensure legal age for alcohol consumption.
Maintains a fully stocked and ready bar.
Cleans work and bar areas throughout the shift and prepares them for the next shift.
Ensures no minors or intoxicated guests are served alcoholic beverages.
Complies with TIPS guidelines for alcohol service.
Rotates inventory to maintain product freshness.
Provides friendly and professional service to all customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Processes cash transactions and reconciles with the point-of-sale system.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Medium physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds.
Requires standing, walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, reaching, bending, and manual handling throughout the shift.
Exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and dim lighting; occasional exposure to weather conditions.
Potential hazards include mechanical parts, chemicals, and client contact.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous experience as a bartender or in food service/customer service preferred.
Certification: Must complete TIPS training and certification upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong customer service skills and professional appearance.
Basic math skills and ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
Ability to work in high-stress environments and resolve difficult situations.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays; able to work extended hours as needed.
Ability to operate telephone, POS system, glass washer, and beverage dispensing equipment.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
Native American candidates are preferred.
