POSITION PROFILE

The bartender is responsible for setting up the bar, mixing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction. This role also focuses on achieving company standards and maximizing profits.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following company guidelines, beverage policies, and safety controls.
Provide courteous, efficient, and professional guest service.
Verify customers’ identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
Process guest checks, handle cash, credit, and room charges according to company procedures.
Complete liquor requisitions and maintain supply lists.
Know and comply with state liquor laws; obtain TIPS certification.
Maintain stock levels according to established pars.
Perform all assigned side work duties as scheduled.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High school diploma or equivalent.
Three to six months of experience in a food and beverage environment.
Ability to clearly read guest checks, computer printouts, and instructions, even in dim lighting.
Ability to accurately mix cocktails and provide wine service.
Manual dexterity to operate equipment and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift, push, and carry 20 to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Effective communication with management, staff, and guests.
