Title: Bartender and Casino Attendant

Location: Black Eagle Bar & Casino, Black Eagle, MT 59414

Job Summary: The Bartender and Casino Attendant (BCA) serves as the first point of contact for Mountain View Co-op (MVC) customers. This role requires maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork, integrity, honesty, and excellent customer service aligned with MVC’s philosophy.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Location Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide a positive customer service experience for MVC customers, clients, and vendors
Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally
Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, and straws
Verify customer age to ensure compliance with alcohol purchase laws
Take and serve beverage orders
Collect payment for drinks served
Maintain confidentiality of customer transactions
Follow all gaming regulations, including monitoring jackpot alarms and issuing payoffs
Obtain signatures on receipts when winnings exceed slot machine limits
Maintain cleanliness of bar and casino areas
Promote current promotions and specials to customers
Count and reconcile daily transaction summaries
Convert gaming checks, coupons, tokens, or coins to currency
Cash checks and process credit card advances for patrons
Keep accurate records of transactions and follow MVC’s credit policy
Assist with facility and equipment maintenance as needed
Practice and encourage workplace safety
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:

Strong customer service and phone etiquette
Basic math and organizational skills
Knowledge of MVC products and safety procedures
Ability to establish effective working relationships
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Flexibility to work varied shifts and days

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
Prior customer service experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and reach for the duration of shifts
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and climbing
Clear speech and hearing for effective communication
Good vision for operating computers and reading materials
Manual dexterity to operate POS systems and serve beverages

Working Conditions:

Bar and casino environment with varying noise levels
Duties performed in all weather conditions when needed
