POSITION SUMMARY

Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of Glacier Peaks Casino bar, lounge, and other locations. Responsible for delivering quality customer service while performing various bar duties.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Take orders from customers, cocktail waitresses, or beverage servers.
Serve customers and assist cocktail waitresses when necessary.
Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other beverages using standard recipes.
Serve wine, draft, and bottled beer.
Collect payments and provide correct change; enter items in the point of sale system.
Handle cash and non-cash transactions accurately.
Stock and rotate bar inventory including liquors, beer, wine, mixers, and other beverage-related items.
Prepare garnishes by slicing and pitting fruit using proper knife techniques.
Verify customer identification when legal drinking age is questioned.
Frequently check on guests to ensure satisfaction and replenish beverages as needed.
Perform side work and general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to maintain health and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of trash and debris.
Present a professional and positive image of the Casino to guests and vendors.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
Must be able to obtain a Tribal Gaming Commission license.
Must pass pre-employment and periodic random drug screening.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Busy times occur in the evenings, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility to work any and all shifts. The Casino is a gaming facility and is not a smoke-free environment.
