Job Description
Title: Bartender
Job Location: 340 HWY 68 - San Juan Pueblo, NM 87566 Position Type: On Call Shift: Any
Summary: The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring excellent service and adherence to company policies. The Bartender will take directions from the Food and Beverage Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beverages following standard recipes
- Check customer identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Handle cash and operate POS systems accurately
- Assist customers with beverage information and recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, utensils, and equipment
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Balance cash receipts and complete opening and closing procedures
- Comply with all federal, state, and local gaming and safety regulations
- Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team
Qualifications:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 to 4 years bartending experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain Food Handlers Certification, Alcohol Servers Permit, and OOGC License
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Cash handling experience
- Knowledge of POS systems
Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow directions and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Equipment Used:
- POS cash and credit card systems
- Dispensary machines
- Blenders and shakers
Work Environment: The position requires flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed. The environment is fast-paced and noisy but professionally managed.
