Title: Restaurant Bartender
Location: Recovery Sports Grille Amsterdam LLC - Amsterdam, NY 12010 Salary: $10.70 Hourly Category: Restaurant - Food Service
We are seeking an experienced bartender with weekend availability to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and courteously following standard drink recipes.
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers, accurately input orders into the register system.
- Process guest payments, including credit card transactions and change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage.
- Wash and sterilize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
- Maintain attractive and functional bottle and glass displays.
- Clear and reset tables in the bar area.
- Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer guest questions.
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Report equipment or maintenance issues to management.
- Assist with restocking and inventory management of bar supplies.
- Fill in as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of mixology and basic math, reading, and writing skills.
- Certification as required by state or local laws; must meet legal age requirements.
- Experience with cash handling and knowledge of state ABC regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, carry 30-75 lbs, walk, lift, reach overhead, push, bend, and climb ladders.
