Job Title: Bartender

Location: Pridwin Hotel - Shelter Island, NY 11964 Salary: $14.50 per hour

Position Overview: Prepare and serve beverages for servers and guests in a speedy, efficient, friendly, and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

Prepare drinks for customers and servers, ensuring all materials and supplies are available.
Engage with guests professionally.
Ensure alcoholic beverages are not served to minors or intoxicated persons.
Act as cashier for servers when necessary.
Refuse to prepare drinks without a printed drink ticket.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by disposing of waste, cleaning glassware, and wiping down bar and prep areas.
Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Work varying schedules based on business needs and attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
Assist servers, bartenders, and bar backs as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the bar outlet.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one-year experience in a high-volume bar.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computational and computer skills.
Knowledge of drink preparation, applicable health standards, and laws/regulations regarding alcohol service.
Ability to operate bar equipment, including coffee makers and cash terminals.
Ability to work in various temperature conditions (freezers up to -10ºF and kitchens up to +110ºF).
Able to stand and move well-paced for up to 4 hours.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Physical ability to bend, squat, stoop, and stretch for cleaning and service tasks.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards.

Physical Requirements:

Most tasks performed indoors with moderate temperature control.
Ability to maneuver in limited space while multitasking.
Continuous talking and hearing for effective communication.
