A Day in the Life As a Bartender, you will provide guests at the Headlands Coastal Lodge an extraordinary coastal experience by serving Meridian’s food and beverages. The role demands meeting guest needs with generosity and an entrepreneurial spirit, backed by thorough knowledge of Headlands’ offerings, the local area, and the menu.

Key Responsibilities:

Take food and beverage orders while making recommendations based on Meridian’s menu
Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
Guide guests through their beverage choices with descriptive selling
Master the bar and product details to enhance guest interactions
Collaborate effectively with restaurant servers and kitchen staff
Manage requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, and spirits
Handle billing, gratuities, and financial transactions accurately
Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and assigned side work
Operate POS for order placement and payment processing
Perform opening and closing bar duties
Ensure compliance with Headlands and Meridian policies, Health Department, and OLCC regulations
Maintain a professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months bartending experience in fine dining or similar environment
Prior food service experience preferred
Food Handler’s Card and OLCC Permit required
Professional appearance with excellent customer service skills
Ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Effective communication skills in the primary language of the work location
Maintain a tactful, courteous, and cooperative attitude with managers, guests, and peers
