Supervisory Duties: None

Job Summary: Prepare, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Requires knowledge of mixology, including food and wine pairings, as well as wine presentation and service.

Responsibilities:

Inspect the bar before opening to ensure adequate supplies
Request and stock additional supplies as needed
Follow set-up procedures
Prepare garnishes, fruit mixes, and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening
Greet members and guests
Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to approved standard recipes
Collect payments for drinks served
Report complaints to management
Maintain and clean bar area and equipment
Maintain inventory records of liquors, beers, and wines
Clean and lock the bar area according to closing procedures
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items to prevent health hazards
Attend staff meetings, pre-shift line-ups, and training sessions
Adhere to all laws and club policies regarding alcoholic beverage service
Serve drinks to members and guests at lounge tables when beverage servers are absent
Follow beverage and revenue control procedures
Thank members and guests and invite them to return
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum one year bartending experience
Alcohol beverage certification
Food safety certification
Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient in bar stocking and pre-opening requirements
Skilled in preparing and serving drinks according to standard recipes
Ability to slow or refuse alcoholic beverage service when necessary
Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
Good organizational skills
Familiarity with POS systems preferred
Understanding of club operations, events, and hours
Ability to read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
Capable of working independently and in teams during events
Knowledge of emergency procedures

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, stretching, and reaching
Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
Perform continuous repetitive motions
Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments
