Bartender

Do you love building relationships and creating exceptional guest experiences? We are hiring Bartenders to provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all our guests. Each bartender's primary objective is to provide such an excellent experience that guests will want to return.

Responsibilities:

Promote and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Vintner's Table and MAF Hospitality.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following the restaurant's standard recipes.
Accept guest payments, process credit card charges, and make change.
Verify guest age by checking identification for alcohol purchase.
Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
Balance cash receipts and accurately enter drink orders into the register system.
Manage guest safety by limiting excessive drinking, including persuading guests to stop drinking or arranging transportation for intoxicated guests.
Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
Present drink menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about beverages, especially wines.
Take beverage orders from serving staff and guests at the bar.
Maintain cleanliness of bars, work areas, and tables.
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar.
Prepare garnishes such as slicing fruit.
Address disruptive guests or contact management if necessary.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively to support efficient drink preparation and promotion.
Report equipment and maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
Attend scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
Coordinate with fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support restaurant operations.
Fill in for employees when needed to ensure service standards.
Plan, organize, and control bar operations.
Assist with kitchen prep work.
Create drink recipes.
Learn all aspects of Folino Estate wine and provide knowledgeable tastings and service.
Provide guests with information about Folino Estate and local areas, including directions.

Requirements:

Minimum 18 years old with ability to pass RAMP training.
Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures, wine service, and POS systems.
Basic mathematical skills.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to handle money.
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
Ability to lift and maneuver trays or containers up to 25 pounds safely.
