Job Description

New Riff is seeking an energetic and passionate bartender to join our Front of House team at the Aquifer Tasting Room. We value dedication to guest service, teamwork, and a genuine curiosity about our products and the industry.

Hours of Operation (excluding opening/closing prep):

Tuesday-Thursday: 11am-7pm
Friday-Saturday: 11am-8pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive experience for guests and teammates with a hospitality-first mindset.
Be punctual, reliable, communicative, and present for guests and team members.
Perform opening and closing duties according to standard operating procedures.
Prepare cocktails and maintain knowledge of New Riff products and the spirits industry.
Serve, engage with guests about our Whiskey Library, flights, and handcrafted cocktails.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth visitor experience.
Handle transactions accurately and professionally.
Adhere to responsible beverage service guidelines and laws.
Assist with inventory management, restocking, and supply ordering.
Participate in distillery events, tours, and tastings as required.
Communicate effectively with the Bar Supervisor and Hospitality Manager.
Availability to work at least two shifts per week is required.

Compensation:

Starting wage is $10 per hour plus tips.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous bartending experience, preferably with craft cocktails and bourbon-focused settings.
Strong attention to detail in food and beverage standards, safety, cleanliness, and customer experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to remain focused under pressure.
Adaptability and flexibility.
Knowledge of cocktail creation and spirits, with a desire to continue learning.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Fast-paced environment requiring standing for long periods, speaking loudly, and lifting 10-40 lbs.
