Bartender
Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: The bartender provides guests with a quality dining experience by greeting them warmly, informing them about daily specials, and interacting in a friendly manner. The bartender services guests with all food and beverage requirements in a pleasant, courteous, and professional way.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide personalized service to all guests
- Take drink orders and prepare drinks such as wine, beer, and cocktails according to recipes
- Perform service standards promptly
- Verify customers' identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Clean bars, tables, and work areas
- Operate POS systems, collect payments, and return change
- Manage bar operations and maintain liquor and bar supplies
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year bartending experience preferred
- Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred
- Ability to arrive on time and work scheduled hours
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform according to brand standards
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks as necessary
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employees work primarily indoors in a customer-facing environment, providing excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in English (speaking, hearing, reading, and writing) is required. Must be able to work any required hours or days to meet business needs. Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
