Title: Bartender
Job Summary: Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons. Provide first-class service to enhance the dining experience. This position requires a valid ABC card.
Principal Responsibilities:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Previous bartending experience preferred. Knowledge of mixology and alcoholic beverages essential. Strong customer service skills required.
Computer Skills: Preferred computer skills for point-of-sale systems.
Equipment Used: Cash register/POS, soda guns, dishwasher, ice machine, CO2 kegerators.
Working Environment: Fast-paced, customer-focused bar requiring a strong work ethic. Requires teamwork with customers and staff.
Communication Requirements: Active listening and clear verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and write to complete orders and prepare recipes.
Physical Requirements: Normal speech, hearing, and vision. Ability to lift and move stationary kegs weighing 50+ lbs with assistance. Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
Safety: Follow all safety programs, guidelines, and policies. Use and enforce personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Be familiar with chemical safety and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Comply with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Other Requirements: Ability to multitask and maintain composure in stressful situations. Must be able to fill in other front-of-house positions such as server or host/hostess.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid ABC Certification required. Must attend approved alcohol awareness classes and comply with Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission requirements. TIPS certification is a plus.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid ABC certification. Previous bartending experience and knowledge of mixology are preferred.
