Title: Hotel Bartender - Full Time

Elvis Presley Enterprises is experiencing exciting growth at Graceland! Since opening in 1982, Graceland has hosted over 20 million visitors and welcomes over 500,000 guests annually. It is one of the five most visited home tours in the U.S. and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2006.

Our employees serve as ambassadors of Memphis, providing all guests with the southern hospitality Elvis Presley was known for.

This is a part-time position in the Food & Beverage Department at The Guest House at Graceland Hotel. The role requires variable and flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. This opportunity is open for both internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities:

Operate POS systems in restaurants
Assist guests with purchases, orders, and questions
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
Mix ingredients and develop new cocktail recipes
Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age (21+)
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately, providing correct change
Balance cash register and follow cash handling procedures
Greet and assist guests, addressing questions or concerns
Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the day
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
Ensure compliance with Shelby County and Memphis health standards
Operate, clean, and maintain restaurant equipment
Bus and clean tables, restock condiments, refill napkins
Empty trash and maintain overall restaurant cleanliness
Clean restrooms in assigned areas
Sweep and mop floors
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge of Memphis and Shelby County health codes
Current valid ABC license from the State of Tennessee
Proven bartender experience preferred
Excellent skills in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
Positive, engaging personality with a professional appearance
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to read and interpret regulations, policies, and procedures
Familiarity with restaurant stock and equipment
Ability to operate and maintain restaurant equipment safely

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stoop, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift boxes up to 25 lbs
Clear and distinct speaking ability

Special Conditions:

Uniform required
Compliance with health codes and requirements

Ability to maintain confidentiality
