Title: BARTENDER - Athletics Food & Beverage

Position Title: BARTENDER - Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park - Texas A&M University

Pay Range: $7.50 to $10.00 per hour

Job Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations relating to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Set up assigned bars, requisition, and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
Maintain stock, prepare, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously and take/process drink orders.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control.
Verify guest identification and detect guest inebriation, acting accordingly.
Handle cash transactions, make change, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed.
Secure beverage products, food, equipment, deposits, and cash drops.
Perform cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards; keep work area clean and organized.
Arrange bottles and glasses for an attractive bar display.
Wash and sterilize stemware.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Ability to manage bar inventory and handle cash transactions.
Knowledge of liquor laws and ability to recognize guest intoxication.
