Job Description
Title: Bartender
Overview: Serve beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to achieve high guest satisfaction.
Growth Path: Beverage Manager/Restaurant Supervisor – Restaurant Manager – Food & Beverage Manager
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean and organized bar areas.
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Verify customer identification to confirm age requirements for alcohol purchases.
- Prepare and serve drink and/or food orders.
- Take orders, serve, and clear food and beverage to guests seated in bar and lounge areas.
- Issue guest checks and complete the payment process.
- Identify and manage intoxicated guests according to standards.
- Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels.
- Finish required side work before shift end.
- Assist with beverage inventory.
- Follow sustainability guidelines related to the EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, use protective equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Previous bartending or mixologist experience required or equivalent training.
- TIPS certification is a plus.
- Food Sanitation certificate required within 90 days of employment.
Work Context:
- Work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and different shifts.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
